The 2018 vintage was quintessential for Monterey County. The days here are cool in the morning, warm in the afternoon – but rarely hot – striking a perfect balance for growing Chardonnay grapes. The evening temperatures drop as the combination of wind and cool deep waters of Monterey Bay creates a thick layer of fog that blankets the valley. The growing season is very long, due to the cooler climate, fog, and wind, with the grapes being picked on September 27 until October 29.
With luscious flavors of citrus, vanilla, and pineapple, our Chardonnay is smooth and bright with balanced acidity and a lingering tropical fruit finish. Enjoy this with apricot glazed pork chops or a spring pea and lemon risotto.
